Velocity is seeking an energetic and highly motivated creative individual to be responsible for leading our marketing team in the promotion of Velocity products and helping our client experience the Velocity difference. The ideal candidate will have strong experience analyzing market trends and developing a marketing strategy by creating brand awareness through print, web and social media efforts.

This role will own developing content featuring the Velocity brands and marketing plans to drive traffic via social media. Responsibilities include collaborating internally to showcase our brands and work with possible influencers to generate innovative and effective digital experiences that drive traffic, awareness, and engagement. An ideal candidate is someone who will be obsessed with showing our customers a unique product and creating visual stories that are compelling to our customers’ lifestyles. They will also have a passion for testing to invent and scale a successful program — from creating the testing plan to communicating the results to using the data to inform future business decisions — and will be highly organized, enjoy diving deep into customer behavior, and have the creativity to challenge our status quo.

About Your Role

  • Proven experience in campaign strategy development and demonstrated innovation in campaign marketing.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute social media with proven experience in setting social media strategy and content direction.
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
  • Create and design high-quality and innovative marketing materials including presentations, brochures, ads, posters, charts/graphs, infographics, signage, promotional items, and employee communications
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create compelling presentations to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.
  • Other specific tasks and job assignments as may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Graphic Design
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in marketing communications and graphic design
  • Proficient working knowledge of CRM (HubSpot), MailChimp
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Expertise in print and digital design, knowledge in print production
  • Acted as a work lead or supervisor previously.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and to work independently.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
  • Demonstrated consistency, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work 7am-6pm Monday-Thursday
  • Ability to work Fridays and Saturdays remotely depending on company workload.
  • Mandatory drug screening is required

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting.
