The Sunshine State Digital Network at FSU Libraries seeks a highly motivated and creative self-starter with a passion for all things social media and marketing to join their team as a Marketing Assistant. This position will work closely with the Sunshine State Digital Network Coordinator, SSDN Outreach Working Group, and SSDN Implementation Team to create marketing materials as well as dynamic and engaging social media content to be published across a number of digital platforms. The Marketing Assistant will play an active role in network outreach and in developing and driving the overall social media strategy for the network.

Responsibilities:
- Create marketing material to promote conferences, workshops, and initiatives of the network
- Create engaging social media posts regularly on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter
- Conduct a social media audit to assess current audiences and content strategies
- Develop and implement new social media content strategies based on audit findings
- Continue to increase the number of followers on accounts through the production of high quality content
- Create multi-platform social media campaigns
- Work with various groups within the network
- Research and implement new trends in social media and marketing
- Track and report on key social media analytics

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active social media presence and/or enthusiasm for social media
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Interest in the fields of social media management, marketing, and communication
- Basic knowledge of graphic design, photography and videography
- Ability to work independently and guide projects from beginning to end
- An openness to learning and a willingness to try new ideas to promote the network in unique and creative ways

The Sunshine State Digital Network (SSDN) connects Florida’s cultural heritage organizations to build supportive digital collection partnerships. Through collaboration, the SSDN showcases our state’s rich cultural heritage collections to a worldwide audience in coordination with the Digital Public Library of America.
