Responsibilities The Digital Media Specialist will provide visionary leadership, management, strategic direction, and coordination for all electronic, social, and web media campaigns designed to help support the Division of Student Affairs major programs, initiatives, and events. The Digital Media Specialist must be able to harness strategy, and brand development, ensuring designs and content reflect consistently and positively the brand image and University and Division ideals. Must be able to develop and assess strategies to effectively reach diverse student populations as well as the university community.

Will coordinate, manage and produce content for the Division of Student Affairs social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.

Manage creative processes from concepts to completion for all digital media content

Collaborate with the digital and visual development teams to develop digital media marketing plans, analyze results, and identify promotional marketing opportunities.

Develop and manage content calendar across all social media accounts, generate analytic reports, and recommend best practices.

Supervises and assigns projects to student staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience.

(Note: a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Familiarity with a variety of software programs within the Adobe Creative Suite, such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

Knowledge of how to develop brand identities through multi-channel marketing.

Good comfort level interacting with clients and university officials.

Evidence of participation in ongoing professional development opportunities in the areas of digital media, graphic design, and/or brand development.

Recent hands-on experience with applying design, or visual identity practices.

Professional business skills, such as project management and leadership.

Familiar with how to strategically utilize a variety of social media channels, as well as software for video editing and graphic design.University Information
